Features

- The Motokane series is hand-forged by one of the most skilled blacksmiths in Tosa, Japan. The blade is crafted from Aogami Super, the highest-grade steel from Hitachi Yasugi. It features a dense grain structure created through traditional fire-forging and hammering techniques. Combined with expert heat treatment, this process brings out the full potential of Aogami Super steel.
- The Motokane Santoku is a fully handcrafted knife, lightweight and perfectly sized as a versatile all-purpose kitchen knife.
- Recommended by HAMONO for those who appreciate truly handmade Japanese craftsmanship and exceptional quality at a very reasonable price.

Please Note

- Every stage, from forging to sharpening, is done entirely by hand. Due to this handmade process, the blade may have minor scratches or slight oxide film peeling—these are cosmetic and do not affect performance.
- As each knife is freely hand-forged, dimensions may vary slightly, and the blade shape may not be perfectly uniform.
- Not dishwasher or dryer safe. As this is a high-carbon steel knife, it may rust if not properly cared for.
- Aogami Super has a very high hardness, making the blade more difficult to sharpen than standard knives.
